Our team

Bianca Visser

Founder - CEO - Facilitator - Tutor

Bianca completed her American High School Diploma in 2024 and is currently in her first year of a Bible College Degree. She plans to continue with her second year of Bible studies and double major with a Business Management degree in 2026.

With experience tutoring high school students—especially those with unique learning needs—she brings patience, empathy, and creativity to every session. She has also supported homeschooling learners in both academic subjects and personal development.

Bianca has been recognized for her academic excellence through membership in the National Society of High School Scholars. Outside of academics, she is actively involved in her church's praise and worship band, enjoys the arts, and recently presented her final-year design portfolio and exhibition.

Dirk Visser

Founder - Director

Dirk Visser is the founder and director of Whale Coast Academy, an innovative learning center that provides flexible, values-driven education for students from Grade R to 12, as well as adult learners. With a strong vision for accessible, individualized learning, Dirk has built a space where students can thrive academically, practically, and personally—whether through distance learning, hybrid models, or in-person support.

Dirk is passionate about educational empowerment and community upliftment. Under his leadership, the academy has expanded to offer diverse learning pathways, including the American High School Diploma, GED preparation, CAPS-aligned adult matric, tutoring, skills development, and community short courses.

With a heart for mentorship and a hands-on approach, Dirk continues to inspire both students and staff to pursue excellence, purpose, and growth in every season of life.
